I got teh mouse
I finally caught the mouse that was living in our kitchen, behind either our fridge or oven. Here are some lovely pictures of the aftermath:
This is the mouse in the trap. I set the trap with the "cheese" toward the wall, but the mouse must have danced around with it before it died. The little brown blob on the "cheese" is just some peanut butter I used as bait, not the mouse's brains.
The mouse left some blood beneath the trap. Yum.

Alex and the new phenomenon of learning to crawl!
On Saturday 3 days before Alex officially started crawling, he figured out how to move forwards in his walker. Now he is unstoppable!
For a long time Alex would rock back and forth on his hands and knees trying to crawl. Now he gets up on his feet and just in the last few days he gets himself up and then slams himself down and inches forward at an ever increasing rate.

Hangin out with the LeSueur Family!
Ana Paula, Joshua, Justin and in the corner Chris swimming
Ana Paula holding Alex while playing with the boys in Alex's room!
Joshua having a blast riding the rocking snail!
more swimming
Justin, Ana Paula, and Joshua came to visit us for the day! We had fun swimming and Justin and Chris built rockets (like the good old days when they were teenagers) and they actually launched some. It was pretty cool. It was a really fun day!

The Bookman Game!
Emma pushing Alex around on his snail toy that is the perfect size for him. Here he is chewing on the book that Pat gave him. She was right he loves to carry it around!
Emma filled up the back of this toy with books and kept saying Alex you are the book man today! Do you want to play book man? Let's read some books! It was so darn cute that I had to document it.
A closeup of Alex and his favorite book!

Starting to feel like home
In a couple days I will take some pictures and post them. Today I'm starting to feel mostly unpacked. There are probably 5-10 more boxes to put away and a stack or two for Chris to go through and hopefully condense. (I'm dreaming about that one-- meet the family of --I will use this someday I'm sure in order to justify keeping it). I like to blame Chris and call him a packrat but that's a little bit of the pot calling the kettle soooooooooo yeah. Anyway my awesome cousin Steve came over today and gave us a pool lesson which was quite informative and made me relax a lot. I then went to Home Depot and bought an enormous amount of Chlorine tablets. Luckily for us the previous owners really kept up the pool and the levels were perfect so now it's up to us to keep it that way. I love having a pool and hope that this summer people will call me and say "Can we come swim?" and I will say "Of course how soon can you get here?" I hope everyone is enjoying school being out.

We've finally moved in!
I don't have any pictures of this because I'd rather take them of the new house after I've unpacked. It is so awesome to finally own a home. The last week has been chaos with the unpacking and yesterday Chris and I did a bunch of yardwork and I raked so much that I actually tore skin off of my thumb. I'm really appreciating the little things like parking in the garage and being able to bring in the groceries from there instead of across the apartment parking lot. Also it is so nice to have a backyard for Sammy (our fur kid). What I'm surprised by most is how quiet it is especially at night. The first night I didn't sleep much because it was too quiet. Although there is still a lot to unpack I could use a break from it for a day. Thankfully the kitchen is completly unpacked now and Alex's room is darn close. The second day we had an ant infestation and I bought this stuff to kill the ants that was safe around kids and pets and earth friendly. Well I come to find out that the ants seemed to like it too and then I read the ingrediants and it was mostly soybean oil! So I said that's it I'm buying some highly toxic Raid. Guess what? No more ants.
